Inder Takhar

Inder is a higher education and innovation professional with experience across UCSF, UC Berkeley, and SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory. He currently serves as a Program Manager with UCSF Innovation Ventures, supporting innovation and entrepreneurship programs, student engagement, and initiatives that help move ideas toward real-world impact. A proud community college alumnus, Inder transferred to UC San Diego and later earned a master’s degree in International Relations from San Francisco State University.

That experience shaped his strong belief in the role community colleges play in expanding opportunity and creating pathways to further education and meaningful careers. Inder has also served as Chair of the UCSF Staff Assembly and as a member of the Chancellor’s Council. Originally from Union City, he remains closely connected to the East Bay and is excited to support DVC students and the work of the DVC Foundation.
