Bobby John
Board Member | Business Development Representative

Bobby is a proud community college alumnus and a strong believer in the opportunities
community colleges create for people whose lives and educational journeys don’t follow a
traditional path. He returned to school at Chabot College before transferring to UC Davis, and his experience at Chabot fundamentally shaped how he thinks about education and community.
As a returning student, he found a diverse group of people pursuing education at different stages of their lives, and many of the relationships he built there have proven even more lasting than those he formed at the four-year level. While at Chabot, he became involved in student advocacy, working to elevate student voices and help shape programs around the needs and experiences of the students they were designed to serve.
Today, Bobby works in technology sales, where he has built his career around developing
relationships, understanding the needs of different stakeholders, and connecting people with
solutions that create meaningful value. He is excited to bring those skills and his own community college experience to the DVC Foundation Board. He looks forward to helping the Foundation deepen its relationships with the broader community, businesses, alumni, and other Stakeholders, while finding new ways to increase funding and opportunities for DVC students.
Community college gave him a pathway forward at an important point in his life, and he is excited for the opportunity to help ensure that pathway remains open and accessible to others.
